Going on vacation with your family, significant other or friends can be wonderful, but there is nothing like a solo vacation.
I just returned from a 5 day vacation to Utah. I went by myself with no intentions on meeting up with anyone. My goal was to visit some of Southern Utah’s beautiful national parks and hike.
When I tell people I am going on vacation alone I usually get one of two reactions. 1) Why would you do that? Isn’t it boring? 2) I wish I could do that.
Why would you do that? Isn’t it boring?
There is nothing more relaxing or freeing than being able to do whatever you want, whenever you want and not have to take care of or be concerned with anyone else. When you go on a solo vacation, you are going somewhere and doing something YOU really wanted to do. How on earth could that be boring?!
I wish I could do that.
Why can’t you? Make yourself a priority. Even if it is just a single night away in a hotel. Give yourself a break. If you’re ready for more, plan a weekend getaway to someplace you would love to check out. If you make it something you are interested in, maybe around a hobby, you won’t get bored and might come home feeling inspired.
